Helvetica movie response

The hatred of non-Helvetica fonts was bit over the top in this film, a great example is when Michael Bierut is talking about how great it must have felt to go from quirky brochures to Helvetica, he compared it to what was an Icey glass of water in the desert of Helvetica. Listening to that Bierut feels like someone explaining how much better a Stanford wife is than the one they replaced.

This idea of Helvetica being the font that The Man uses gets wrapped up when one of the speakers says that using Helvetica shows that you support the Vietman war. The over use of Helvetica has made it the standard font, which leads the question being is it the ultimate font or just a great one.
