In most versions of Houyi and the ten suns, the suns aren’t birds till they die which leads to a lot more pictures of Houyi aiming at suns than giant 3 legged crows.
This one is especially interesting because it’s not some ancient work but a label for alcohol that is actually propaganda against Japan. This is like how Florence used the story of David and Goliath as propaganda but in the 15th century.
There is an interesting lack of resources about Chinese ancient myths which is eluding to the fact that we only have an illusion of perfect browsing and that search engines are only showing what they want you to see and also a lack of making academic grade information accessible.
