My definition of Art is anything that holds intent, this not limited to the intent the artist imbues into the object as pointing out the intent already contained is also a valid. With this idea that art doesn’t need to be formed directly out the artist’s hands comes the question of randomness and its place in art. looking back at the ancient Greeks and their concept of muses in which there was an acceptance of uncontrollable factor attributed to the artist’s muse, a spirit whose aid or lack of it was believed to be the reason for good and bad work. In modern day when we work with digital tools there is an amount of control we are giving up to the computer which mirror the ancient Greeks belief in muses.
